SUMMARY

Framework Group, LLC, a Tampa-based multi-family development, general contracting, and consulting company is seeking a Development Analyst / Associate to join a lean organization focused on creating a diverse and dynamic team.

The Development Analyst / Associate will bring strong analytical skillset and a passion for real estate development to support the execution of multifamily residential development projects from inception to completion. The role includes financial analysis, market research, due diligence, entitlement processing, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The Development Analyst / Associate will join Framework at an exciting time in its growth, and this individual will immediately play an integral role in both managing existing business and delivering future opportunities.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the guidance of the Executive Vice President and the Development Manager, provide support in the analysis, management, and evaluation of new opportunities. Specific tasks to include:

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Build and maintain detailed pro forma models to assess the financial viability of development opportunities.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for active and pipeline projects.

  • Support financial analysis and carry out underwriting tasks relating to project costs, supply/demand dynamics, and analysis of competitive properties. 

  • Track and analyze economic news and data, multi-family industry metrics, and other indicators to identify new opportunities in terms of submarkets and product types. 

  • Join and actively participate in industry organizations. 

Market Research & Feasibility

  • Develop project concept and design by assessing market conditions, including rent comps, demographic trends, and supply/demand metrics, zoning or other restrictions, environmental and site factors.

  • Apply data from CoStar, Yardi, CBRE, and other industry sources.

  • Support site selection by evaluating location-specific metrics and zoning requirements.

Due Diligence & Underwriting

  • Assist in underwriting potential acquisitions or development sites.

  • Coordinate environmental, legal, engineering, and zoning due diligence efforts.

  • Review third-party reports and summarize key findings for internal review.

  • Build and track project schedules consisting of tasks related to due diligence, pre-development, design, construction, and lease-up. 

Development Support

  • Support entitlement, permitting, and community engagement processes.

  • Help manage consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and internal presentations.

  • Write and distribute monthly project reports for stakeholders.

Project Coordination

  • Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

  • Attend design, entitlement, and construction meetings as needed.

  • Liaise between finance, construction, and asset management teams.

  • Evaluate project reports from general contractors and consultants. Manage resolution of any identified issues. 

  • Project management including interfacing with all consultants and contractors

  • Visit projects regularly to evaluate progress and resolve technical issues. Represent Framework Group as Owner/Developer at all regular meetings and throughout construction. 

  • Develop internal systems, templates, and other means of standardization and data logging to drive improvement of Framework’s operational efficiency. 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience managing or participating in the execution of construction projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional capacity for problem solving and collaboration.

  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where roles within the organization will shift and evolve over time.

  • Capacity to work autonomously and ability to manage through change and ambiguity.

  • Motivation for continuous learning and self-improvement.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, Business or other related field.

  • 2+ years of professional experience, which may be satisfied by internships.

  • Multi-family industry experience.
